At this time of the year you can’t help but get the feeling that all roads lead to Monte Carlo! The international motorsport season has kicked off with the World Rally Championship returning to the famous principality for the first time in four years with the 80th running of this classic event – yes the first was back in 1911- and now it feels like May is almost upon us as the streets of Monaco prepare for not one but two glorious weekends of Grand Prix car action.
First up it’s the Historics and then two weeks later the second European race of the 2012 World Championship where Sebastian Vettel will be looking to repeat his win of last year – but with the return of Kimi Raikkonen there are now no fewer than five other former Champions who are determined to stop him!
Of course if you are a complete motorsport devotee you could pick up a nice dose of spring sunshine by attending both of those and squeezing in a little trip to the Mille Miglia on the weekend in-between. Then, if you still haven’t had enough to feed your passion, Le Mans will only be a month away!”
