Budapest, built astride the River Danube, is one of Europe’s greatest cities. With the circuit just a
few miles to the east there will be plenty of time to enjoy the wealth of tourist attractions, lively
nightlife and guaranteed sunshine which makes this one of Formula One’s favourite playgrounds.
The city has a romantic feel and much to offer visitors. The Pest side of the Danube host trendy
bars, hip clubs and superb restaurants. Whereas on the Buda side, thermal baths and
historic sights are reached along delightful cobbled streets in and around the medieval
quarter. Take a fabulous cruise along the Danube and see this beautiful city in all
Its glory
The Hungaroring circuit is 19 km from the centre of Budapest, alongside the M3
motorway at the border of the village, Mogyoród. The track is in a natural valley,
surrounded by 50 hectares of rolling hillside. With this exceptional natural advantage,
almost 80 percent of the racetrack is visible from any point. Improvements to the 1st
turn and main straight in 2004 has now created excellent overtaking opportunities
and consequently one of the most exciting races of the season
